X 3

How hard is it to do a one layer card?? I know it looks easy but it is often VERY hard!!
There is absolutely nowhere to hide your "mistakes" and so the scrap box gets very quickly filled with placement trials, stamping errors and (very annoyingly!!) finger smudges.
Well multiply that X3 and you have OLW 51 !! Jennifer challenged us to make not 1, not 2, but 3 OLW cards using exactly the same image but with enough variations to give each one a different "feel"!! So it is with a used up afternoon and a very full scrap box I give you my attempt at this !!
Wow Jennifer! Don't you want any friends????? (Lol!)
I have not put a sentiment on these because there was not an obvious place and because if I had messed up any more I would have given up altogether for sure!! So you will have to guess what occasion each one is for!
3 is actually a very popular number in the stamping world this week as it is also the number chosen by Miss Boo for the CAS #116 on SCS . That challenge is called "Artist's rule of 3's" and requjires 3 images on the card...so this lot is for that too.
This week also marks my return as a "LIMette" (aka -" an obsessed participant in Less is More challenges Lol!) This week is #12. It's a recipe challenge with the theme-"Off Centre"- so these are for that challenge too
I actually have a few more variations still dancing round in my head- so I guess you can safely say that the "Stamping Bug" has bitten again !!

I just discovered OLW yesterday, and I too find one layer to be the ultimate challenge. I love your take on it! I think a sentiment on the bottom right would work fabulously.

Hello Robyn .Well I think you have completed the challenge very well. Love the different feel of each card . I too think that a small sentiment could be placed on bottom .

Love these cards, this would have to be one of my favourite stamps, I think I will have to "imitate" it! Thanks for the lovely comment on my mauve card, if I remember rightly, the last time I used this colour combination you "chastised" me for disliking it - but see I can cope with it ( on occasions).

LOL! I can totally sympathize/empathize with you Robyn!! I can usually fill my trash with cast offs and messy mistakes! I love this design...in fact, I believe I have this stamp! If you have a one line sentiment with 4-5 words, you could just slip it between the edges of the second and third image...if you dare to stamp again on the card! LOL!

This is a fabulous set of cards Robyn! A sentiment is not a requirement on cards anyway - sometimes I think people forget that you can actually write inside them and that can give the recipient a hint about what occasion it's for!!!

This is very elegant set of CAS/OLW cards!

They don't need a sentiment on the front, you can just tuck it inside!

Great job on the challenge and thanks for playing along with OLW51!

Hi Robyn, Ahhhh....the perfect CAS card {happy sigh.....} I hereby dub you the "Aussie Queen of CAS"!! I'm the CAS Dummy - or maybe I should have L plates on my head - no wait - then I would be called a loser - eek LOL!! Maybe on my behind instead. I always seem to need to add "something else" to my CAS efforts and before I know it, it's CAS-not. Honestly, I think it takes me longer to make a CAS card than layers as I think so hard and fiddle, fiddle and then I spill something on it that I have to cover up with "something else". But you have that special knack of knowing when to stop "decorating" and have everything so nicely balanced. It's the balance-thing that I struggle with the most 'cos mine just look unbalanced for some reason (???).

Thanks for stopping by my Blog today - I really appreciate it :-)
