Fall to Layout # 55

I have been busy creating this week but have not been able to get things photographed because of all the wild weather we have been having in Melbourne this week! Every afternoon when my "official site photographer" (DH) got home it came over all stormy and dark. So you are getting them all at once now that I have caught up! (Scroll down for 3 more new cards) Made this card last Sunday night using "fall to" layout #55. This is very similar to last weeks Trendy trees post but had a "catch" - the base of the card was meant to be DSP that you made yourself using stamps and the focal image was then meant to be a co-ordinating stamp. So I used the little flowers from Friendship blooms (Saleabration retired) for the base and the pretty swirl from the same set for the focal image. The colours I used were those chosen by Dawn Mcvey for her Rasberry Suite #15 (I used cameo coral/passion pink/very vanilla and Moss) but I'm not sure if its good enough to enter there. I added a greeting from So many sayings (retired) moss ribbon and a gorgeous filigree brad.

An oldie but a goodie!

I've been having fun with this sketch this week. Find it at Jen del Muro's blog. I have done two of it (Scroll down to the next post to see another version using this weeks SCS Colour challenge colours) This one was inspired by a card I found in my SCS "faves file" by DRStamper
It uses Friendship Blooms(Saleabration 2008-retired) - an oldie but a goodie IMO !!! and my gorgeous favourite DSP from Pattern Pack 11 (Hostess 2009)

So Bashful Pumpkins!

Fancy name for a pretty colour challenge don't you think? Don't think I've ever come across a bashful pumpkin! This is for CC220 at Splitcoast this week. The colours are...So Saffron/Bashful Blue and Pumpkin Pie- I have hardly ever used either so saffron or pumpkin pie- just goes to show you the benefit of having a go at the various colour challenges around. The stamp set is Friendship Blooms (Saleabration 2008). The matching pumpkin pie flowers have a So Saffron brad and are punched using my Spring Flower Bouquet punch- (I was so surprised to realise that it matched perfectly!) The sketch layout is one that I have had fun playing with this week. I found it at Jen del Muro's blog (Sketch for you to try)

Kristina # 28

Here is the card I made for the latest Kristina Werner challenge ! The colours required were Pumpkin pie,Ruby Red ,Whisper White and Sage Shadow- I would never have thought to put these colours together- but I like them! And I am quite happy with how this card turned out although it took me ages to make! I used my lovely Friendship Blooms stamp set (retired unfortunately). Hope you like it too!

Midnight Madness Challenge # 2

At Paula's blog "Precioso Designs" she runs a challenge called "Midnight Madness". This week is #2 and we are required to use the colours Cameo Coral/Whisper White and Close to Cocoa. Trust me I have used these colours !! - the photo just looks pink for some reason. I have used the Friendship Blooms stamp set (retired) and a pretties half pearl in the centre of the flower.
