Lets go shopping for shoes and bags!

A fun "clean and simple" challenge on SCS this week..... We had to visit the "Anthropologie" site and find inspiration for a card from the myriad of fabulous shoes/boots/bags and hats that are for sale there. I chose the "Crochet Craft Bag"- find it here..........
http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=940114&parentid=BAGS-LEATHER&pushId=BAGS-LEATHER&popId=BAGS-BAGS&sortProperties=&navCount=75&navAction=middle&fromCategoryPage=true&selectedProductSize=&selectedProductSize1=&color=020&colorName=BROWN&isSubcategory=
Phew!! That's a mouthful!! And I can't get a link to work so you will just have to believe me! It is a black bag with pink flowers and scallops with metal studs)
My card has flowers made from Bodacious Bouquet Stamps and Purely Pomegranate ink and cardstock (both retired). The sentiment is the lovely one from Freshcuts .

CAS 23 - "Works of Art"

Forgot to post this one! Better late than never!
The CAS23 challenge on SCS last week was an interesting one... We were encouraged to visit the Art for sale at www.art.com and use one of them as the inspiration for our own Clean and Simple "work of art". I chose one called "fuchsia lotus blossoms"
This card was what I created from that inspiration . A bit different from the picture but the lotus flowers immediately reminded me of my fave "Bodacious Bouquet" stamp set. I used a colour combo of Whisper White/Basic Black/ Pink Passion and Pixie Pink. The sentiment is from "Fresh cuts". The layout that I have used is last week's Saturday sketch 107 from the Stamping 411 site. (minus a few layers to more fit in with the clean and simple style)
I have a very beautiful and stylish niece who is turning 20 (!!) this month so I think this is the perfect card to send to her.........

I used Bodacious Bouquet which is the stamp set I got for Mother's Day. I love it even though it is retired. The inks used are from the soft subtles range and the DSP is Wintergreen (retired)

Stamping at Sue's

Last Friday night I was lucky enough to be invited to Sue M's house for a night of stamping !- (needless to say not a great deal of stamping was done!!) However I did borrow Sue's "Bodacious Bouquet" stamp set and was able to stamp off some images with my favourite colours to bring home. On Saturday , after I came home from work , I was glad to have something constructive to do - it was very therapeutic to sit and cut out all my images as I listened on the radio to the unfolding terror of the bushfire crisis in Victoria. Thankfully , the fires were nowhere near us- the worst area was over on the Eastern side of Melbourne but further north. We once visited that area-beautiful bushland with towering Gum trees and an understory of huge lush green Tree Ferns and quaint and pretty little bushland townships. Sadly a few of these townships just don't even exist anymore......

Here is the card that I made using those images- Thanks Sue
