Love NZ !!

Hi Everyone! Just returned last night from a fabulous 3 week holiday in New Zealand!
Saw hundreds of snow capped peaks and beautiful aqua lakes, rivers and streams, thousands of cute little lambs in the greenest of green paddocks and tons and tons of blue and yellow letter boxes!!- Never could figure out why Kiwis all seem to buy the same one LOL!!!
Anyway had a great time- but now I need a holiday to get over my holiday! See you soon!

World Card Making Day!

Well , on Saturday, it being World Card Making Day, what better thing was there to do but to make a card? This is my creation, a fairly simple but pretty card which is mostly a CASE of a card by keuby that I recently faved on SCS. I have used Baja Breeze cardstock, ribbon and ink and Afternoon Tea (retired) and Parisian Breeze DSP. But it does have one special feature of which I am rather proud. Look closely at that button....I made it! Yes you can make your own buttons to exactly match whatever project you are working on! To find out how go to the Try a new Technique link (TLC239) on the SCS home page for directions- it's fairly easy and quite fun and only a little bit messy! Hope you enjoyed World Card Making Day and got to spend a bit of time being crafty...as I read on SCS somewhere recently...."It's cheaper than therapy!!"

Christmas Forest

Realised that I had missed out on making a card for Trish's Ejoy challenge #3- to make a card with 2 triangle shapes. So I made up for it by including this when I made my card for #4.
Challenge #4 was a recipe challenge- 3 circular brads/2 different DSP's/1 ribbon and 0 sentiments!
I made mine a Christmas card with trees as the 2 triangle shapes. My 3 brads are from the Vintage set, my 2 DSP's are from Wintergreen and Afternoon Tea (both retired) the ribbon is my (new!!) riding hood red stripe and I did what I was told and did not add a sentiment- (but I really don't know how much longer I can resist adding one LOL )The decorations on the trees are small circles punched out of Kiwi Kiss covered in dazzling diamonds.

Blog Candy Alert!

Some very pretty blog candy is on offer until Sunday 4th October! This time it is from Marcia's personal blog- HERE
Again all you have to do is leave a comment and link your blog-so why not give it a go!

Happy Birthday Sis!

The next few months are Birthday Season in my family! This one is for my sister. We will be away on a holiday together on her birthday-so I have no excuses for forgetting this year! This card is a feminine version of this card I made when jojot was Featured stamper. I used Regal Rose Patterns Pack11 and pearls instead of brads. The little background branches behind the image are the only change I made. They are done with Pink Pirouette ink

Welcome Spring !

24 degrees in Melbourne today! Still windy but lovely and warm!Perfect inspiration for my CAS card for this week. This week was a colour challenge- pink blue and green ( & optional brown)
Pretty free colour choice so I chose my faves- brocade blue/regal rose and certainly celery and also added a tiny bit of choc chip. I used my spring bouquet punch to make my version of a welcome spring bouquet! The little silver dragonfly was added so that this card also qualifies for this week's "Cute as a Bug" challenge at Cupcake Crafts. Happy spring to you all!

Freebie Friday Blog Candy!

Andrea at www.stampinmoments.com is giving away some gorgeous pots of coloured sprinkles! Visit her blog and leave a message for your chance to win!!! I have!

Hot Chocolate!

Well I have to admit that the girls at Winter Wonderland had me completely stumped again with this weeks theme. How on earth was I going to make a Christmas card (that was still usable) with the theme of "Hot Chcolate". No suitable stamps and no punch art possibilities to help me this time! Well with a bit of thinking "outside the square"- this was what I finally came up with The cardstock is (of course!) Choc Chip. The ink is Encore Gold. The stamp set is Baroque Motifs and the gold ribbon is from Lincraft.

Teal Friend

Here is the other version of this card that I made for Trish's Ejoy VC2 challenge.
But these are colours that I much prefer. Colours are Taken with Teal and Ballet Blue. Ribbon is from Big W! All the other details are on the original card post if you are interested. Even my husband said that he likes this one!!!

Happy Birthday Mum

My Mum's birthday today. This is the card I made for her. Isn't it a sweet sketch! It is sketch
# 14 from this site which I found through Sue's blog. Sue's card for this sketch actually won one of the challenges it was entered in. !! - see it here. I hope you are impressed that I coloured the image- thought it was about time I faced my fear of markers LOL !!! Sorry the photo is not that great as it was taken at night so her present could be posted. The DSP and ribbon are Certainly Celery and the card stock is Wild Wasabi (yes still have quite a lot left-green is my mum's favourite colour but not mine!)

Leah's Challenge#12

Leah went to a wedding recently-I think it was a cousins. Anyway she chose their very modern wedding cake as the inspiration pic for her challenge this month. Sorry for using Bodacious Bouquet (retired) AGAIN!! but the pic reminded me of this set straight away. The DSP is Dashing (also retired)
