Midnight Madness #6

Here is my entry for the "Midnight Madness" Challenge at Paula's blog...
We had to use this cute little patchwork cat as our inspiration- How could I resist???
I have used the first SU paper that I ever got that I still love- Pallette O Prints- (can't believe I still have some left) and the "For a Friend" stamp set (Thanks Lisa!) The little flowers are made with the Spring Bouquet Punch.
I can't take credit for the interesting layout of this card though- it is a CASE of Karen Dunbrook
who is the "Featured Stamper" this week at Split Coast Stampers- I loved her card- See it here..

In fact there were quite a few cards I would have liked to have chosen to CASE- her gallery is great if you want to check it out..
(P.S My hubby wanted me to point out that HE was the one that cut the "slits" for the banner on this card - I was too scared that I would wreck it!!)

Midnight Madness Challenge # 2

At Paula's blog "Precioso Designs" she runs a challenge called "Midnight Madness". This week is #2 and we are required to use the colours Cameo Coral/Whisper White and Close to Cocoa. Trust me I have used these colours !! - the photo just looks pink for some reason. I have used the Friendship Blooms stamp set (retired) and a pretties half pearl in the centre of the flower.

Midnight Madness Challenge # 1 !!!

What a great name for a challenge ! Paula over at http://preciosodesigns.blogspot.com/
called it that because she says that she always discovers the challenges at the last minute and then she is up past midnight making, photographing and entering it! Can't say that I do that but anyway I think it is a great name! Now this challenge interested me when I found it in my blogsurfing because not only is there a cute little bird stamp up for grabs but the winner gets to display a special midnight madness trophy on their blog ! Woo Hoo I would like that !! So anyway here is my entry for the challenge. It had to be a Christmas Card using Close to Cocoa/Silver/White/ and one other colour of your choice! Phew ! Again quite a challenge ! I chose Bravo Burgundy for my extra colour and I used my Mostly Flowers and Baroque Motifs stamp sets. The square motif and the sentiment have been embossed with silver embossing powder and the silver cord to finish it off is non SU.
