Unstoppable Keesh # 17

Can you believe Keesh??? She has just moved her family from one side of the country to the other, has no house yet to live in,.all her stamps are in the middle of the ocean somewhere and she STILL manages to set an inkspiration challenge for us??!!!
There is no stopping that woman!!
Well the least I could do was try to participate.,.. The colours she chose were Choc Chip/So Saffron/Very Vaniulla and Cameo Coral ( which I quite like -contrary to popular opinion it seems!) The layout I have used is the latest one from the Clean and simple stamping blog- Fall to Layout # 75. I wanted to try Claire's cute pot again and like this version a bit better than my first attempt. The stamp is (of course!) ......Petal Pizzaz....again.....
All the best Keesh- hope you all settle in well to tropical life very soon!!!

Oh ! and btw- Happy Australia Day to you all! - I have had a lovely relaxing day....watched a movie, had a little snooze on the lounge and I'm just off to cook up a lamb roast with lamingtons for dessert!!

Keesh's Inspiration #8

This is the inspiration photo that Keesh gave us to work with this time. This card took me longer than I expected and once again ended up differently from what I had first envisaged- but hey!! that's the fun and satisfaction that comes from excercising those creative muscles!! I didn't plan it but it seems to have turned into another wedding card- or maybe an anniversary or a 21st card for an elegant girl!
The white pattern on the front cushion was my inspiration to use the vine from Fresh Cuts. The White ,Sahara Sand and Gold colour scheme came from the colours of the cushions. My original idea was to emboss the image in white on Sahara Sand- but that ended up in the bin! In the end I did the embossing in gold which looks shiny and pretty IRL but has not photographed very well...(I need a new camera like Keesh!)The ribbon is non SU and it is shiny too! I have used the beautiful "Wonderful Words" for the sentiment which unfortunately is retired now- I think it is just perfect for elegant cards.
I actually do know an older couple who are getting married in October so I think I will add a gold heart brad under the sentiment and give it to them on their happy day! Thanks for looking!

Makeesha's Challenge

Makeesha's latest challenge is a sketch. Here is her sketch and my submission. I have used the Apple Cider paper again (as I did for my cybernight card-scroll down a bit) Again I haven't needed to stamp a main image as the paper has motifs that can be cut out and used for this. (Don't forget that this paper and other gorgeous stuff from the Spring Mini is only available until Nov 30th- email me if you would like to order some before it finishes!)The other colours I have used are Choc Chip and Really Rust (Love this combo!) The tag is stamped with half of a sentiment from So Many Sayings on a scrap of very vanilla. The tag is finished off with a jumbo eyelet and a hemp twine knot. It's not "manly" enough for the "Aussie" blokes in my life so I think I will keep it for my BIL - he is from German heritage and would be able to cope with it I think!!!

Stubborn Stamper !! Triple Challenge makeover !

Despite the nice comment by Yvonne- I was , as the saying goes" Not happy Jan" with my Butterfly card and being a very stubborn stamper !! - I could not rest until I had fixed it! Amazingly enough I made up my own layout design which I liked better than the one I had CASEd !! So here it is again my triple challenge card for Lisa, Makeesha and Stamp Something - this time "inspired" by Mrs Nemo and Seattle Stamper and ....I am NOT , DEFINITELY NOT pulling it apart again !!

Triple Challenge card !!

Readers of my blog would know that I love participating in challenges- but a triple challenge??? Now that's a first!!

Firstly I must say that this card is inspired by and draws a lot from 2 beautiful cards that I found on SCS by Mrs Nemo... http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1033822?cat=12524&si=A%20little%20bit%20of%20happiness and Seattle Stamper.....

That said...here is the challenge info... Firstly it is an entry in a challenge on the new "Cardinal Stampers" blog (run by my gorgeous niece, Lisa!) (http://www.cardinalstampers.blogspot.com/) Sorry it's a bit late Lisa!! This challenge called for an entry that was watercoloured. I coloured my image with Stampin Up's Watercolour pencils blended with a blender pen.

Secondly it is another entry in this week's colour challenge at Makeesha's blog. (http://www.makeeshabyl.com.au/) colours required were Elegant Eggplant/Pretty in Pink/Soft Sky/and Whisper White.

Thirdly it is an entry in a challenge on a site I found called "Stamp Something!" (http://www.stampchallenges.blogspot.com/) My entry qualifies for this challenge because even though I have had this stamp set since the absolute beginning of my stamping "career"- I have never used it- in fact I hadn't even cut out and mounted this particular image ! (from A little bit of Happiness ...Hostess Set) I have also used the butterfly image from Sprinkles which is stamped on the pink panel with Versamark)
Apologise for the photo- My official site photographer is at work ! (He would be horrified at my effort!!)The card looks nicer in real life!!

Keesha's Challenge- Funky Eggplant!

Hello again! (Is there anyone out there....?)Here is my entry for this week's challenge from Keesh! The colours to use were Elegant Eggplant/Pretty in Pink /Soft Sky and Whisper White. Apparently Elegant Eggplant is a "bogey" colour to some- I love it!!.... And it doesn't ALWAYS have to be elegant- Here is my take on "Funky" Eggplant! I had trouble with this challenge because I have to keep using my original stamp sets (I love them but I'm ready for a change!) So... I can't wait for October! You should see what I have stashed away for my birthday presents- (Well I may as well get what I REALLY want!!!)

Keesha's Challenge-For Emma

I needed a card for a friend's daughter who has just had a baby girl. When I saw a new colour challenge on Makeesha's blog I decided to use this creation for both. The challenge required the colours of Regal Rose/Certainly Celery/Apricot Appeal. The stamp set I used was "Wild About You" stamped in Regal Rose Ink. The sentiment is from Fun and Fast notes. I have used the same Word window punch technique that I used on the previous post for Kristina's challenge card but it is a bit easier to see in this photo I think. The printed paper is P 'O' P.
