Is there such a thing as Masculine Skipping ???!! Lol. I was amused to read Karen's laments on SCS this week about having to try so hard to come up with witty/interesting titles for her cards! She reckons it takes her longer to think up a name than it does to make the card Lol!! She wants to call her latest "Molly"!.. Actually I enjoy inventing interesting card/post titles- it is just part of the fun challenge of cardmaking/blogging!
Anyway, back to the card ....which is for this week's Skipping Stones Design challenge. # 116 Another interesting sketch....another one which almost ended up in the "too hard" basket! But I was inspired by Cyndi's (DT) card- I liked her blocks of masculine looking DSP and her button so I decided to get out my "Well Worn" paper to make the grid pattern part of the sketch. Great paper for masculine cards I think. After that it all came together quite easily! Tha nks Cyndi! Well off to do some housework..my husband would be horrified if he came home from work early and saw me now! Lol! (I'll let your imagination do the rest Lol!)
PS The colours are a bit more muted IRL- this looks a bit more gaudy than it really is! Think I photoshopped a bit TOO much this time!

Isn't masculine skipping what boxers do when they're training?! But I digress... Your card is great Robyn and the blues, rusts and browns are a lovely combination. Vicky x
Love the paper from SU and the sentiment too and the crinkled strip as well ..great man's card
Great card! I totally appreciate masculine cards because, often times, they're the hardest for us paper crafters to make! Love the colors! Thanks for playing along with us at SSD! :)
I love hearing that you were inspired by Cyndi's work!!! Great card! Thanks so much for playing along with us over at SSD this week!
