Skipping Stones

Finally a card from me!! The mojo is still sadly hiding at the moment but was coaxed from its hidey hole by a great sketch that I found at Skipping Stones design!! (Sketch challenge # 92)
Now I know it is not very creative to use the same shape on your card as the one on the sketch but I recently bought some wrapping paper covered in stars -thinking that they would be good cut out for masculine cards- so this sketch suddenly became very "do-able" for me. I hope I have added enough sparks of creativity with my "ribbon" treatment(silver cord threaded through night of navy eyelets) and bling to make it a bit more interesting. I really liked Christina's (DT) colour blocks so went with that idea as well. This card is for my brother who has a birthday in October.
Once again it looks much better IRL than in the photo- if anyone has any tips or links to improve my photography and editing skills I would be very grateful.

Well my wedding favour commitments are nearly finished and there are some new toys on the way- Yeah!!... so hopefully I will soon get back to a bit more regular creating .....providing of course that I can also somewhere find some motivation to clean up the mess that is my craft room !!-again !! Lol!!

Hi Robyn - great to see you back in Blogland! I love this card - especially the three neutral strips of colour on your background. Your idea to use the elastic cord as the vertical line was inspired too - nothing wrong with your mojo that I can see! Vx

Fantastic card and great job with the Skipping Stones Design sketch! I love the clean lines, the color blocking, and the cord for the vertical element!

Because you asked (not because I think you need it!), I wanted to share a tutorial I did a while back on taking and editing photos of paper crafting projects. It's kind of old and I do things a little differently now, but you might find something useful in there. If you'd like to take a look, here's a link:
