NB This is a post about my Mother-in-law...(not my mum who visited me recently)
Mother-in-laws are apparently supposed to be mean, spiteful creatures.......but not mine...
My mother-in-law was always extremely kind, loving and generous. I have never in my life seen a Christmas tree piled so high with presents than hers. She never visited us empty handed and showered our family with gifts, chocolates and love. She loved...babies, dogs, cats, and all things beautiful. She was excellent at many crafts and at creating beautiful flower arrangements. She taught me many things that I never knew before I met her.......
We have just returned from another sad trip to Sydney.... to attend her funeral. She finally succumbed to the cruel disease that is Alzheimers after a long and courageous battle. We are very sad... but also happy for her that it is all over . I used to look at her and wish that she could just "fly away" from it all...and now she has...to a much happier place.... to be with her Lord . I will be a mother-in-law myself next year...I hope that I can do as good a job at it as she did. Goodbye Mum...Love you.....
