Aussie Aussie Aussie !!!

Ok ...so this is NOT a real card.... but just a bit of fun for Susan's OLW "Patriotic" challenge over on Simplicity blog. As it is American Independence day tomorrow- her challenge was to make a card which honoured your own culture and heritage ...so I could not leave out the Aussies in blogland could I (I admit it was pretty late and I was pretty tired at the time!!) For those of you who may not know..the "OI OI OI" is our national "Victory Chant" (at sporting competitions mostly) and the flowers (made with the Always stamp) represent the "Wattle" which is our National flower.- also giving us our National colours of Green and Gold. Our National celebration day is "Australia Day" on January 26th each year...but we do not normally make cards to celebrate!...maybe we should!

Well you learn something new every day! Thank you for educating me about bits of the Australian culture Robyn! I love this card - the colours are gorgeous and I love the flower. With a different sentiment (!) it would be perfect for all sorts of occasions.
