For Emily

My mother required a card for a special grand-daughter's 21st birthday party that we are all attending in July. So I said that I would make one for her. I used the layout from this month's very cool Challenge Heaven Card sketch. I am happy with the card but a bit dissapointed how the colours look in this photograph-in real life the large guava flower does not look as stark as it does in the photo. Oh well it will have to do as the challenge finishes at the end of the month which is not that far away I hate to tell you! Isn't this year speeding past?? And don't you just love Petal Pizzaz- it can look elegant or funky or anything in between! I do have time to tweak the actual card before the party so if you can think of how the colour scheme or whatever could be improved I would be open to suggestions !! I'm thinking that perhaps the lace edge border needs to be darker to match the flower more. Or perhaps some ribbon and bow. What do you think?

Hi Robyn . Love the stampset too although have not used it much . Like your layout . Now I happen to think , and this is only my opinion , that I would have made the two smaller flowers, behind your bold front flower, in colours a bit brighter , leaving your lace edge as is . The focal point for me is 21.. WOW, meaning the 21 leads you to WOW , bright arrangement of flowers, . oh ok , now I am rambling sorry .
Your card is lovely and I am sure it will be loved just as it is .

I love your card Robyn! (I was sad to hear you'd lost your mojo but I can see you've found it again!) I like that the lace border recedes so the flowers really pop against it. The only thing I would do differently is to change the pearl for a rhinestone to coordinate with the '21' - but hey - what do I know?!!!
