Bird on a fence

Here is another attempt at this week's Inspiration challenge (IC318) at SCS. I really liked this week's funky feature site -"Close 2 my Art". This card is based on another one of the images that were provided with the challenge. You will need to see it to better understand my card. Go HERE
then scroll down . It is the 3rd picture... of a ceramic box with a blue spotted lid and a bird on the top. My UK friend Vicky is very talented and does these beautiful stamping "scenes". When I saw the box it reminded me of her work- the base of the box made me think of the palings of a fence. So I tried to have a go at a "scene" with flowers behind the fence and a bird (which perhaps in hindsight is a bit too big!) sitting on it. The small blue flowers are tiny circles with a black dot in the centre rounded with a stylus. (I saw this idea somewhere recently but I can't remember where...let me know if it was you!) They are inspired by the black spots on the blue lid of the box. The idea of the flowers peeking through the fence came from Kittie 747 on SCS
Oh well I know it's not perfect but I did have fun being creative with this one. Hope you are having a happy week!

Hi Robin - thanks for the mention, but all I know is that I'd never have got this beautiful card out of the ceramic pot! The fence looks great and I love the colours you've chosen for your stamped meadow. Those little flowers are stunning too. I love this card... can you tell?!!!
