I feel so sad and so helpless about the terrible predicament of my (blog) friend Katie Renz. It is horrible to feel like I can do nothing to help her.... But I can craft! So I had the idea that I would make a "Crafting Tribute" to her. I decided to go to her blog and choose 5 cards that I liked and CASE them. Then I would sell those 5 cards and donate the money to cancer research. That is the only positive thing that I can think of doing. If you have been touched by Katie's story maybe you would like to do it too. What a terrible and cruel thing cancer is. Especially the type she has- she has gone through truly awful suffering this past year...so painful for her lovely little family too.
So here is the first of those cards and the card of Katie's that inspired it. My style is more CAS than Katie's but I have tried to stay true to the essence of her card. I hope my simple one does enough justice to her lovely work- it looked quite pretty until I posted it next to hers.
