We had the first BBQ of the season at our house last Saturday..and my craft table was packed up and taken downstairs to put all the yummy food on!! It didn't get put back upstairs in my craft room until this afternoon and that sadly was just a little bit too late for me (again!!) to make the cut off for this week's Skipping Stones Design Challenge (#97) with a fab CAS sketch by Cristina !! ..... Oh well !!
I did enjoy making the card though which I am sending to my lovely blog friend Chris who not only had to cut short her holiday to America recently but then also had to endure eye surgery when she got home ....without a general anaesthetic!!! Oh my!!
I hope she likes the card though-I'm sure she has an elegant style (although I have never actually met her!) I think she likes pink and I know she likes roses because I have seen photos of her beautiful garden on her blog. Hope you feel better soon Chris and enjoy the (enforced) rest!
btw I am so happy to have finally found a use for this soft green DSP which was on the back side of a design that I have had for absolute ages and that I was finding hard to use- I love it paper pieced for the leaves and used with this lovely soft pink rose -just goes to show that it is good to keep EVERYTHING because it WILL come in handy ....one day!!
