Stampin coz its fun!!

I've been thinking a lot lately about what kind of stamping I love to do. And CAS won! It's what makes me happy the most! This card was really fun to do! I was lucky enough to win this stamp (Lawn Fawn- Bake me a cake) set from Chupa's random org draw (on her new Case study challenge blog-Thanks Chupa!) and I thought I would try it out on a card for Simplicity OLW #19 . This week we were to use black and white on a one layer card with just a touch of one other colour- the colour I chose is red (on the heart) although the camera has not picked this up very well. The scallops around the edge are for my DH (who does my photography). He still does not understand CAS !! and could not cope with all the white- "it needs a border here" he said -so I used a stamp from the set that is actually frosting for the cake to make a fun border- so you can blame him if you think it has wrecked the card!

Super cute! Love the stamp...and that little touch of red is awesome! Great job on the challenge! Is that scalloped edge hand drawn or is that a stamp? Whatever it is...it really makes the card!

Well, that scalloped border works perfectly with the cake stamp, so DH is onto something there! What a cute card!

And isn't it liberating to discover your style?

I love black and white cards with just a flash of colour so this is definitely up my street! I nearly fainted when I heard your hubby had suggestions about your card - I only had to mention that my new catalogue had arrived for him to start inching away!

...for my DH to start inching away I mean!
