Slow Cooker

This is my first entry for the Curtain Call colour challenge although I have for quite a long time admired my friend Sue's cards for this challenge...and now SHE is on the design team! But when I saw the colours for Act 28...Kraft/Rose Red/Not quite navy and white...I loved them and just HAD to have a go! Thinking it would be easy , I started out eagerly, but once again,the mixture of what I deem to be masculine and feminine colours threw me and this card became a real "slow cooker"- one that I had to keep leaving and returning to over a few days until I was reasonably happy with it- still not thrilled Lol!!
This card is also for this week's SCS Clean and Simple (#65) ..to make a May flowers or Mother's Day card and it also uses the sketch from this week's Stamping 411 (#149) ...I love combining challenges..to me that is part of the fun!! There are so many fabulous challenges out there and I get inspired by them all!! (as you probably know by now Lol!) But I could not possibly enter every one individually- I spend too much time at my craft desk as it is! I must admit to being a bit annoyed lately at those challenge sites that are demanding that your creation be made solely for their challenge. Well, enough whingeing... I am going to try to make the slow cooker chicken soup recipe that I found on Paula's blog today!

This is very pretty! I love that kraft background...is it stamped or patterned paper? Thanks for joining us at the curtain call this week!

♥♥♥Lea

PS- I think it is silly when challenge blogs make "rules" like that too. Where is the inspiration in that? I think it is silly when they remove your posts for having links in your supply list too. Had that one happen to me the other day. {Sigh}

I think it's a super use of this set, Robyn. I guess I've never noticed...challenges asking that each card be only for theirs. I wouldn't get many done and would have to be more choosy. What a shame!
