Taking a Fresh Look

Fresh cuts was one of those sets I JUST HAD TO HAVE !! and then when I actually got it I struggled as to what to do with it! Recently though I was inspired by a sympathy card made by Andrea using this set and when the sad opportunity arose that I needed a sympathy card too I decided to have another go at using it. The Close to Cocoa/Choc Chip one is the sympathy card that I made for the family of my daughter's friend who lost their husband and father this week. I liked it so much that I decided to make another version with Baja breeze/Blue Bayou this afternoon . NB if you are going to make a card like this you absolutely NEED a stamp-a-majig!! Thank goodness I got one for my birthday last year!

I wouldn't have thought about this set for a sympathy card Robyn, but it works really well. I'm going to pinch your design too, so I hope you don't mind. My next class is using Fresh Cuts and I'd like to include this one - or something very similar too :o)

Thank you so much for the lovely comment you left on my blog last week, I really appreciate what you said ... and that you take the time to visit :o)
