Swap Card

I was very busy in November doing some different things ! You have all already heard about the regionals and the trade night and the set of Easy post Christmas cards that I made for my mum. The other new thing that I did in November was participate in a "Postal Swap" run by Mel in Queensland. The "rules" were -that you had to use a background stamp and the colour "summer sun" somewhere in your card. This is the card that I made for the swap inspired by Kristy Morrison's "Button Tree"- you can read the funny saga about her attempts to make a button tree here... http://kristiemorrison.blogspot.com/2008/10/how-to-drive-yourself-completely-insane.html The background stamp I used was Sanded and I used as little summer sun as possible !!(as the star for the tree) I figured that cardstock "buttons" would be easier -so mine are a motif from short and sweet that have been silver embossed. I had to make 5 copies and post them off to the other girls. (I don't reccomend that you mass produce this design- even though it was easier than Kristy's version!)What fun it was to go to the letter box and find a beautiful swap there instead of the usual junk mail and bills ! You needed to put on your sunnies for some of them- they were so bright!(but lovely!) Mine turned out very different to theirs - probably because they were inspired by all that Queensland summer sun !!

This is a lovely card Robyn! I can see that you wouldn't want to be making 100 of them...lol
